Two Iranian films are scheduled to vie at the White Nights Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Two Iranian films are scheduled to vie at the White Nights Film Festival in St. Petersburg in Russia.

‘Overruled’ by Farnaz and Mohammadreza Jurabchian and Arsha Aghdasi’s ‘Jamshid Aria’ are the two films that are going to be screened at the various sections of the festival.

‘Overruled’ depicts the lives of young Afghans who found refuge in Iran after the trembling time of war in Afghanistan.

The boys have started working in low positions in Iran, but working hard, they have achieved considerable accomplishments.

Produced by Iranian stuntman Aqdasi in just one day, ‘Jamshid Aria’ is made to honor the former Iranian action star Jamshid Hashempour.

Some renowned Iranian athletes star in the short film alongside Arsha Aghdasi.

White Nights Film Festival gives the opportunity to filmmakers from around the world to show their work at the event.

Held every six months, the festival pays special attention to student works and presents almost all film genres.

White Nights Film Festival will be held in St. Petersburg from April 17-19, 2017.
